I think that’s what’s really important to people. When you see something, you have to say something. However, it’s not going to be easy. And there will be people that just get mad at you for not playing the game.
Thank you to Olivia Munn who continues to speak out against Shane Black and emphasizing the importance of why that scene had to be cut along with the very obvious reasoning as to why they shouldn’t be okay with working with a registered sex offender. She is risking her career right now to continue advocating for what was right and continuing to be so outspoken against her own director and company, but it just shows she understands how important the Time’s Up movement is and how important it is to her. It doesn’t really surprise me that she has to fight alone, that none of her male costars will speak up with her, but unfortunately that’s the mindset of Hollywood, that it’s the “boy’s club” A toxic mindset that won’t be eradicated unless men step up and help get rid of it too.
Olivia Munn has shown immense courage to stand up for what she believes in despite the risks and I applaud her for that.
